Guide: How to Set Up the Branch Treasury and Start Logging Deposits and Expenses on TtaKkaa
This guide is for a shop owner starting to use the branch treasury on TtaKkaa for the first time, instead of tracking cash with a paper notebook.
Step 1: Turn on the branch treasury
From the dashboard, go to the "Treasury" page and turn on the feature for the branch you want.
Step 2: Set approval permissions
Decide which employees can log an expense or make a withdrawal from the treasury, and set an approved PIN for each of them from the employees page.
Step 3: Open a shift with a starting balance
From the cashier, open a new shift and enter the cash balance you started the drawer with in the morning.
Step 4: Log an expense or deposit
During the day, if you need to log an expense (like a supply invoice) or a bank deposit, open the treasury screen on the cashier, pick the transaction type and category, and enter the approved PIN.
Step 5: Close the shift and check the Z report
At the end of the day, close the shift and check the Z report: opening balance + cash sales - cash refunds + deposits - withdrawals = expected cash in the drawer.
Common mistakes
The most common mistake is forgetting to open a shift at all, which means all sales that day get recorded with no accurate cash tracking. Make sure every cashier opens a shift before the first sale.
Next step
If you want to categorize your expenses more precisely, read the explanation of custom expense categories, or see the full explanation of the branch treasury.

Do I need to open a shift every day to use the treasury?
Yes, opening the shift is what sets the day's starting cash balance, and without it you can't track cash accurately through the day.
Who can approve a withdrawal or deposit from the treasury?
The owner or an employee with a specific permission, who needs to enter an approved PIN for the action to be recorded under their name.
