Guide: How to Register Multiple Sell Units for the Same Product on TtaKkaa
This guide is for a shop owner who has a product already registered on TtaKkaa (with just the base unit) and wants to add another sell unit like a pack or a carton.
Step 1: Open the product from the catalog
From the dashboard, go to the "Products" page, find the product you want to add a sell unit to, and click it to open the edit screen.
Step 2: Add a new sell unit
On the product edit screen, you'll find a "Sell Units" section. Click "Add Unit" and set:
- The unit name (e.g. "Carton").
- The conversion factor relative to the base unit (e.g. 24 if the carton has 24 pieces).
- The sale price for this unit.
Step 3: Save and test selling
Save the changes, go to the cashier, and try selling the product in the new unit. You'll find both units (base and new) showing on the sale screen, and you pick based on what the customer wants.
Step 4: Check stock after the first sale
After the first sale in the new unit, check the stock balance to confirm the deduction was correct on the base unit (for example, if you sold a carton, the balance should drop by the number of pieces in the carton, not just by 1).
Common mistakes
The most common mistake is getting the conversion factor wrong, so stock drops oddly fast or implausibly slow. If this happens, double-check the conversion factor number in the unit settings.
Next step
If your shop sells the same product in more than one unit, read the full explanation of the sell-units feature, or if you have a large catalog to import at once, check the bulk import guide.

If I set the conversion factor wrong after a few sales, can I fix it?
Yes, you can edit the conversion factor at any time, but note the edit only affects new sales, not invoices already recorded before the change.
